The Dawnmaster's Crest Location in Baldur's Gate 3

Dawnmaster's Crest is located in one of the rooms of Rosymorn Monastery at coordinates X:74, Y:78. The cache containing this item will be closed until you bring 4 ceremonial weapons to the altar.

Dawnmaster's Crest can be used during the quest Find the Blood of Lathander to disable the artefact's defences in the Rosymorn Monastery. This unusually shaped crest bears the markings of a Lathanderian high priest, but its practical function is unclear.

If you don't want to kill the Ancient Giant Eagle and her son - who seem to never have stolen their nest from anyone - then you don't have to. You can choose to persuade the Giant Eagles to leave you alone, and you can instead loot the Ceremonial Warhammer from their nest using stealth skills.

Choose this path and you'll be forced to kill her. However, depending on what other choices you make, you can keep Lae'zel alive and on your side if you go into the Astral Prism. If your goal is to keep everyone – or even just Lae'zel – alive, then yes, you should enter the Astral Prism.

Walk up to the central mechanism and insert the Dawnmaster's Crest. The scene that plays next will grant you the Blood of Lathander, a powerful legendary mace that allows the wielder to use a Level 6 Sunbeam spell once per long rest, in addition to a once per long rest heal when health is reduced to 0.

The Blood of Lathandar is found in the Secret Chamber in an underground shrine to Lathandar in Creche Y'llek. Before you enter it, you need to acquire the Dawnbringer Crest. To find it, head to the stained glass puzzle on the top floor of Rosymorn Monastery.

For the final altar — Dawnmaster Stockhold's to the southeast — place literally any weapon. There's even a few rusted weapons around the rooftops and those work here too. When the weapons are all placed, a secret panel will open in the north wall. Open the pouch it reveals for the Dawnmaster's Crest.

Seed's weapon is seen on stained glass. The weapon is on the rooftop in the Giant Eagle's nest. Stockhold's weapon is mentioned on his gravestone near the monastery. Picked off the drunken Kobolds.

Once you have the missing Ceremonial Weapons, you just have to place them on the correct pedestals, in the room where the Stained-Glass Window is. The correct order is as follows: Ceremonial Longsword — Dawnmaster Welkinglory. Ceremonial Mace — Dawnmaster Stockhold.

Next walk up to the cliff and destroy the Energy Source to destroy the barrier blocking your way. Walk up to the central mechanism and insert the Dawnmaster's Crest.

It's much easier to simply insert the Dawnmaster's Crest into the pedestal and take the Blood of Lathander Mace without any hassle. Baldur's Gate 3 is filled to the brim with activities and secrets. You'll no doubt be part of an adventure that can take countless hours to complete.

As mentioned above, the Ancient Altar is hidden in Balthazar's room in Moonrise Towers. You'll have to play around with his bookshelves to actually reveal the altar, but once it's out in the open, you just need to grab a heart from the piles of viscera and bodies nearby and put it into the altar.
